Salad Dressings
BLUSHING RUSSIAN
1 c. mayonnaise
1/3 c. catsup or chili sauce
1/3 c. chopped pickle
2 T. lemon juice
2 T. sugar
Mix and store in refrigerator covered
DREAMY ITALIAN
1 c. mayonnaise
½ t. oregano
3 T. milk
½ t. sugar
2 T. vinegar
¼ t. salt
1 clove garlic
1 t. pepper
Mix and store in refrigerator covered.
FRANCES COPPA'S BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE
1/2 cup Balsamic vinegar
2 T. Dijon mustard
1 T. minced garlic
1/2 t. black pepper
1/2 t. salt
3/4 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. olive oil
Place all ingredients in food processor except oils. With machine running, add oils very slowly. Dressing will be Thick. Store in refrigerator.
FRENCH DRESSING
Combine:
1 can tomato soup
1 t. paprika
2 T. vinegar
2 t. prepared mustard
1 t. grated onion
1 T. salt
1/3 c. honey
¼ c. lemon juice
2 t. Worcestershire sauce
Beat in gradually:
¾ c. oil
Add:
2 cloves garlic
ITALIAN
½ c. chopped onion
2 t. salt
1 clove garlic
1 t. mustard
¼ c. sugar
1 t. paprika
1 c. red wine vinegar
1 c. catsup
1 tea. oregano
Mix all ingredients and let stand at lest 2 hours. Strain and store.
