LISA LAMB’S VERY OWN BRAN MUFFINS

Elizabeth Lamb

1 ½ cups flour 
2 cups whole wheat flour
½ cup wheat germ
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
3 cups bran
1 ½ cups raisins or currants
2/3 cups safflower oil
3 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
2 tsp. baking soda in ¼ cup water

Combine above ingredients.  Bake in muffin tins in 400 degree oven approximately 15 minutes.
